Agroecology 101

Agroecology provides the ecological basis for more sustainable farming, as well as the opportunity to characterize or refine the cumulative effects of agricultural activities at broader, i.e.local, regional, and watershed, scales.

This slideshow was presented at our Benoit Town Hall Meeting on January 14, 2016 by Steve Oberle, Ph.D. Steve is a member of Farms Not Factories, and owns a farm near Bayfield. Steve has researched environmental issues surrounding larger-scale and concentrated livestock operations. He is a retired County Conservationist and Land Conservation Department Head in Taylor County, WI, and now consults in his field.
